Working long hours, raising a family, trying to get the kids to their extra curricular activities, make dinner, clean up, get the kids to bed and then try to relax at the end of the day….. does that sound like you?
If so, you’re not alone, in fact the average person feels like there aren’t enough hours in a day to accomplish all that they need to.
Stress and feeling overwhelmed by all the things that you have to these days can really take a tole on your health. What are you doing to try and counteract those feelings?
Yoga? Exercise? Meditate? Read? All these things are great.. but did you know that chiropractic care can be just as beneficial to your overall health.
Chiropractic’s Role on Stress Reduction
Once I go to the chiropractor, I have to go for life?
This is one of the most frequent question that gets asked and a simple answer to this question is absolutely not! Everyone has different goals in mind when it comes to chiropractic care, some want to get out of pain, some want to correct the problem, and others recognize the benefit and continue for wellness care. It really comes down to you and what your goal is with your health.
Let me explain a little further….
The “pain” patient
A person who just wants to get out of pain will visit the chiropractor a few times in the beginning and stop once they feel better, or their symptoms have subsided, but chances are they will end up back with the same complaint not long after. This tends to occur because as humans, we have the mentality that because we feel good, it must mean that everything is okay! The truth is, pain is usually the last thing to occur and the first thing to go away, which can be very misleading to the patient, this is why chiropractors don’t focus on where the patient is feeling the symptoms, but rather the source of the problem.
